• Create an account on the app.
• Reserve your equipment.
• Choose “mobile pick-up” when making your reservation.
• Go to your pick-up location about 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Your truck should be ready an hour before the scheduled pick-up time.
• Select “Pick Up My Truck” under your reservation details.
• Complete the Live Verification Approval process. This will include taking photos of your driver's license and adding some additional contact information.
• Follow the step-by-step instructions provided to complete the process.

When you pick up and return your truck, you’ll need to upload photos of yourself, your driver’s license, the truck's fuel gauge, odometer, and the vehicle’s condition.

Returning the truck is a similar process. Tap the “Return My Truck” button in your dashboard. We’ll show you on your phone where to park. Snap your pictures of the vehicle as you did when you picked it up. Once you’re done and have grabbed all your belongings, lock the truck and put the key in the dropbox or slot.

Whether your rental qualifies as a Truck Share 24/7 option depends on your specific requirements. If you schedule your pick-up or drop-off outside regular business hours, it is considered a self-service rental. If you schedule your pick-up or drop-off during business hours, it is considered a standard rental, but U-Haul encourages you to return the truck using self-return. If you need to change your pick-up or drop-off time, you can easily edit your reservation and convert it to a self-service rental.
